A County Down man has managed to recover almost all of his scammed life savings with the help of Trading Standards, marking a significant victory over a sophisticated crypto-currency scam.

The victim, known as Mark, fought for nearly two years to reclaim his money after being lured into investing a six-figure sum in a fraudulent company. Despite facing rejections from the Financial Ombudsman and his bank, perseverance and detailed documentation eventually led to a repayment from his bank.
